AYSO U10 Boys Team #16

Team 16 parents,

My name is Gavin Byrne and I will be your son’s coach for the upcoming AYSO fall season. Our first game will be 09/10 (game schedule pending) with the season ending on 11/05. The games will be on Saturdays, sometime between 8am and 3pm, varying weekly.

Practices will be held at Revere Park (2509 W. Irving Park Rd) at 8:30am on Sunday mornings. I will hold practices rain or shine, as long as there is no lightning in the area. I hope this works for everybody. If not, please contact our division coordinator Jamie Ellison [email protected] to see if he can rearrange the teams to suit your schedule. Please cc me so I know what’s going on.

Our first practice would normally be this Sunday, but since it is a holiday weekend I will be holding practice at 8:30am on Monday morning 09/05 at Revere Park. I would like to get the boys together before our first game. With any luck I will be in possession of the uniforms etc. at that time and will be able to distribute them. If you can’t make the first practice I will have your jersey with me on the day of our first game. Please let me know if you won’t be able to make this practice.

For all games and practices the kids must wear shin guards. They will not be allowed to play without them. In addition, for practices they should bring a ball with them (we play with size 4 but any ball will work for practice) and some water.

Parents usually provide after match snacks for the boys. Every family will have the opportunity to take care of a week and a schedule will be put together early in the season.

If any parent (or player’s older sibling) would like to be our team referee please let me know. We can’t play without referees and it is tough on game day to coach and referee. A team referee would only ref our games and would hopefully split time with our opposition’s referee.
